The sun is blazing over Caab Living today and it would be wrong not to sample a quick Fanta outside and soak up some rays :-)

We've been working hard today (no really, we have!). Putting the final pieces together for our Market Harborough, Manor Farm store. Everything is laid out but still a lot of pricing to go.

Above is a photo taken early this morning during my daily walk into work. The rape seed is just about in full bloom but the dry weather is taking it's toll on some of the other crops which are wilting a little.

Now is the time to grab yourself a picnic basket set or one of the great insulated baskets or backpack sets, along with a picnic blanket. We are selling out fast and no further stock will be in until after Easter and "the wedding".

Don't forget to keep Saturday 30th in your diary for our big sale and opening day!

Plants & Mugs

This summer, you will find a small selections of plants and flowers available at our Uppingham and Market Harborough stores; something we are trialling this year and if it goes well, we will expand it for next year.

The following should be available around the end of may (not online or available to ship I'm afraid):

Fushia Gene
Nemesia Ciruela
Petunia Royal Velvet
Verbena

Arriving yesterday afternoon into Caab Living HQ were the new mug designs from Nottingham based Sono Design (along with another clock to add to the family - The Lollipop Clock).

The main range is called "Did you know?", a bright, colourful range of mugs depicting animals, sports and places all with an amazingly useful fact!!

Sono Design have also provided two new Colourblind mugs that match the popular "Clock I Can't See" which, in-turn is based on the colourblind eye chart.

For the last 18 months, we have used our blog as a way of bringing you the latest news and products from us here at Caab Living. However, that is all about to change.

From now on, we will be updating our blog a little more often, including all the bits and pieces we did before but also to give you more insight onto what we do each day here at Caab Living - the way we work, the things we do and enjoy.

First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Lee and I am the owner of Caab Living.

Our little company has been providing fantastic home accessories for over 3 years now. Originally beginning with a focus on sleek, contemporary items, our focus has since shifted to a more rustic, country feel.

This may be due to our location in the Northamptonshire countryside; they do say that you are influenced by your surroundings. Based in a small village just outside of Market Harborough, our main HQ and new showroom is actually situated on a working farm, in fact, our little unit is literally in the middle of a field (which at the moment is surrounded by sheep!). Our other store is based in the Rutland market town of Uppingham, renowned for it's school and Rutland Water which is close-by.

So, over the last six or so months, our focus has been drawn to the beautiful, country chic items our customers love and have demanded more of.

Our new showroom here, just outside of Market Harborough, is nearing completion and we should be all ready to go for our opening sale day on Saturday 30th April. We will then be open 6 days a week from Monday the 9th of May. Our new showroom is much larger that our Uppingham store, filled with plenty of goodies including our new furniture range and plenty of goodies from Cath Kidston & Laura Ashley.

Today's jobs (and there are plenty of them!) include moving the office and computers out of the showroom and to replace the broken lightbulbs, not to mention the endless task of pricing all of our items.

Anyway, that's enough for today. As I mentioned above, we will be updating our blog a little more often from now on with plenty of news and gossip, so don't forget to check back soon.

Caab Living Market Harborough Opens this May!

You can now find the newest Caab Living store right next to our offices here at Manor Farm, which is just outside of Market Harborough.

Opening for a unique Sale Day on Saturday 30th April (with between 50-70% off ALL sale items!), then 7 days a week from Tuesday 3rd May. Our opening hours will be on the Contact page.

You will find all of your favourite brands and products from Cath Kidston, Emnma Bridgewater, Laura Ashley and many more, including our very own Caab Living branded items; a range of country, rustic chic items all hand-picked for quality and value for money.

Our new (and growing range) of furniture will also be on display - bedside table, drawer units, coffee tables.

The main feature tables are already packed and ready to go with a host of summer items including picnic baskets, blankets and outdoor goodies, polus a few pieces that may interest the avid gardener.

Caab Living is now stocking East of India online as well as in store. East of India is a very unique British brand, with their products being mostly handmade by artisans here in the UK, as well as places all over the world. Their products are beautifully packaged making them perfect for gifts.
